A True Prosperous Holiday Season

Thanksgiving has come and gone and now we look forward to the Christmas season. It's hard to believe that the year is coming to an end. Now is a time to rejoice and enjoy the fellowship of friends and family. We can take this time to remember how blessed we are. In America we have been given so much!! At times it doesn't even seem fair to have what we do and allow so many to be deprived. I am thankful that this year I was able to spend Thanksgiving with my family. We had a wonderful time just being with one another. This was a great reminder that the most precious possessions that we have are not able to be purchased with money and can never be taken away from us. These possessions are the relationships that we have with other people. Now that we are looking forward to Christmas it is easy to get overwhelmed with the commercialism and all the presents we want to receive. Sometimes we become embarrassed because we can't afford to buy the things others are asking for. Rather than face the truth and say we can't afford it, many times we enter into debt in order to fulfill the desires of our friends and loved ones. These decisions, more often than not, lead to regrets. Often we end up spending the weeks and even months of the following year paying for gifts that we purchased during the hype of Christmas. It doesn't have to be this way. We can have a great Christmas without all the stress. Just remember what Christmas is all about. Of course we know that this is the time that we remember the greatest gift that God has given us, Jesus Christ. Also, this is an opportunity to give into the lives of others. Try to give more than gifts this year. We can offer a helping hand to some one in need. Sometimes just a smile and an attentive ear is all it takes to make some one else's holiday great. Remember that you can always have the things you desire if you are willing to help others obtain what they desire. If we keep these things in mind we can all experience a true prosperous holiday season. For more information about true prosperity check out my website at www.todaysabundance.com.
